Why we chose Santa Caterina Market?
We have different reasons to meet for our Photo Walking Tours Barcelona experience there. The 1st reason is a very pragmatic one. It is not so crowded. We can meet and have a small chat before starting to discover Barcelona’s secrets and how to take unique photos. The 2nd reason is also pragmatic, it is near to the starting point (Santa Eulalia Cathedral). We just cross Via Laietana Boulevard and we are there. The 3rd one, is that it is the oldest covered market in the city. Build by Josep Mas I Vila in 1844-1848 (the same architect of Boqueria Market). The 4th, reason is that you can visit various archaeological sites before the tour, which now are below the street level (-1 market level).
Why this hour, you may ask?
We think that it is the perfect hour for our Photo Walking Tours Barcelona because: 1st you are totally awake (even if you enjoyed the city until late in the night). 2nd your lunch is done, you are totally prepared to absorb all good information that our Andrei will deliver as well as very important facts. The 3rd one: the light reaches and just perfectly into the Old City, it is the golden hour for photography in Barcelona.
Please, check the walking tour details when you book our experience.
